Lisa Valentine Is A Master Of Her Craft!

My personal take on “Forbidden” was… it’s a Fantasy Romance with a bunch of badass stuff in it! I really don’t know how else to summarize this and I’m so serious about that! I got creatures, blood and guts, a massive world to explore, different tribes of magical beings, witty characters, complex characters, sadistic villains, touching ride or dies, a perfectly flowing storyline, fight scenes that I could easily visualize as I read them, and so much potential for a series!

Melody Winters is the main lead and she is nothing short of badass perfection to me! Sexy, violent, bad temper, witty insults, emotional, fearless, ambitious, confident, sensitive, and just very complex. She’s a powerful witch under an evil bloodline, but she chooses her own path in life! Badass right?! Another badass thing to comment on is Lisa’s ability to create worlds! As a fellow author, I find myself intimidated by world building and she does this so effortlessly!

The romance is between her and a rival tribe leader by the name of Roman. I’m not getting into how and why they are in the mix with each other, but I will say their story was so well-paced and realistic to me. The sex scenes were bold; it gave me the courage to never hold back in my writing. The chemistry was something that felt real to me and it made me miss having someone to love.

I cried at one point because of the very relatable inner dialogues of a character, I felt emotionally attached to other characters, and I felt the story was unpredictable. There is so much the author has to be proud of with this beautiful work of art!
